A few days ago, Tata Motors kicked-off the ‘Hexa Experience Centre’ initiative in Bangalore for prospective customers and enthusiasts to get a first-hand experience of the Tata Hexa, which will be launched in January 2017. I was excited to receive an invite from Indiblogger and attended the event at the White Orchid Convention Centre, Bangalore .
The venue was a hub of activity with the Tata Hexa taking center stage with the spot light firmly on the beautiful car. The experience center was thoughtfully designed with something for the entire family.
The venue had live performances, a pet adoption zone, kids zone, a few of the Tata brand stores like Mia from Tanishq and a few food counters selling donuts and pizzas.
The Tata Hexa is a big car with a Length x Width x Height of 4788 x 1903 x 1791 mm and a wheelbase of 2850 mm. The ground clearance is 200 mm and it has disc brakes on the front and rear. The front suspension is of double wishbone type with coil springs and the rear is a coil spring type 5 link rigid axle suspension.
The 7 seater car has a fuel capacity of 60 litres and a turning circle radius of 5.75m.

The off road experience showcasing Hexa’s prowess:
The highlight of the event was the off road experience, which was set up for enthusiasts to experience the dynamic performance of the car under truly rough terrain and it was an extraordinary experience, with the team at Tata Hexa demonstrating to us features like the Hill hold control and Hill descent control which is really a boon for driving on inclined surfaces as well as sharp slopes and slides.
The incredibly strong traction control system prevents excessive wheel slip. The car was made to cruise over rollers, a flight of stairs and rugged road conditions were simulated using tyres, logs and barriers, highlighting the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Roll-over Mitigation feature.
The stability of the vehicle was shown in a 40 degree incline and a sign board says “if you can read this properly you are in a 40 degree incline.” Ground Clearance was demonstrated on a small flight of stairs. The approach angle of 21 degree, 450 mm water wading capability and 200 mm ground clearance surely make the Tata Hexa an amazingly tough one.

To sum up, it was an extraordinary #HexaExperience! Available in five shades (Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Platinum Silver and Sky Grey) and six variants (XE, XM, XT, XMA, XTA, XT, 4×4), the Tata Hexa is certainly one of the cars to watch out for in 2017!
